ABOUT THIS LESSON
About This Beginner Luck & Success ESL Lesson
Two people can start in the same place and end up with very different lives. Is the difference hard work, luck, opportunity, or a mixture of all three?
This A1–A2 lesson uses accessible English to explore luck, effort, success, chance and fairness. Students consider why some people begin life with more opportunities and why getting a chance does not always guarantee success.
Students decide who should receive one free university place, create a rule to justify their decision and then explain that decision to the people who were not chosen.
