ABOUT THIS LESSON
About This Food Fraud ESL Lesson
Food is not always what the label says. Honey can contain cheap sugar syrup, good olive oil can be mixed with cheaper oil, and some products can be sold under a false name.
This A1–A2 Food Fraud ESL lesson uses clear language to help beginner learners talk about food labels, fake products, prices and trust. Students consider who should stop food fraud and what should happen when companies lie about food.
The lesson combines a short original reading and audio with beginner vocabulary, true-or-false comprehension, discussion, a simple judgment activity, speaking practice and guided writing.
