About This Dynamic Pricing ESL Lesson

Two passengers take the same flight but pay very different prices. This A1–A2 lesson asks why prices change and whether customers should always pay the same amount.

Students read and listen to a beginner-friendly article about airline tickets, taxis, demand, empty seats and computer-driven prices. They learn five key words and discuss times when prices have felt unfair.

In You Set the Price, groups decide how to price tickets for a two-day music festival across five situations. They then defend their choices on a radio show and write a guided 60–100 word opinion paragraph.

Soon, two people could see different prices on purpose. If a price depends on who buys and when, what is anything worth?
