About This Beginner Space Tourism ESL Lesson

Space tourism is making it possible for paying customers to travel beyond Earth for a short time, but the experience remains extremely expensive.

This A1–A2 lesson uses accessible English to explore private space travel, why tickets cost so much and whether space should be open only to people who can afford it.

Students discuss whether they would travel to space, decide who deserves the last free seat on a flight and defend their choice in a speaking challenge.

The price is the problem. One ticket can cost several hundred thousand dollars, and only very rich people can afford it. Some say this is normal for something new.
