ABOUT THIS LESSON
About This Public Etiquette ESL Lesson
Why does talking loudly on a train seem rude in one city but normal in another? This beginner A1–A2 lesson explores the unwritten rules that shape public behavior and good manners.
Students read and listen to an accessible article about trains, personal space, eating in public and how expectations change across cultures. They learn five useful words, answer comprehension questions and discuss everyday situations.
Groups decide who should change in six public situations, create a hotel welcome card with three local rules and write a guided 60–100 word opinion about whether good manners are the same everywhere.
