ABOUT THIS LESSON
About This Superstitions ESL Lesson
Why do some hotels skip floor 13, while others avoid floor 4? This beginner A1–A2 lesson introduces superstitions and shows how the same sign can mean good luck in one country and bad luck in another.
Students read and listen to an accessible article about black cats, wedding rain, owls and gifts. They practice five useful words, answer true-or-false questions and discuss lucky numbers, routines and cultural beliefs.
Groups compare six opposite signs, decide which ones would worry them or change their behavior, design a hotel for international guests and write a guided 60–100 word opinion.
